Starting his acting career at the age of seven, he appeared in the play ‘Dinosaur Door’ and continued doing stage performances in his teenage years. After studying creative writing at college, he got intrigued by screenwriting. In 1990, the release of ‘Awakenings’ marked his debut in the industry. However, he barely gained recognition until 1994, when he released the self-written, directed, produced, and starred short film ‘Multi-Facial’. Even though Diesel gained popularity in the industry, it took him another three years to release his first full-length film ‘Strays’.
